Crystal was amazing! Food was amazing! No leftovers went home for my party of four. We were traveling back to MD after zip lining and stopped here on a whim. The best choice ever!

My wife and I dined at ugly dumpling for the first time ever this evening and our waiter was AJ, Server 11. He was very pleasant and made our first visit a night to remember. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered replacement options when we weren’t certain what we wanted to order. 10/10 would recommend! Food, atmosphere and service was amazing!

Similar to “don’t judge a book by its cover” quotation, “don’t judge a restaurant by its name” applies to this place! Yes, the name has “ugly” in it, but this place is a TRUE GEM! If you’re from NOVA or visiting NOVA and looking for a good dumplings place, this is it! Been here multiple times already, and every visit was worth it! Ambience felt welcoming and traditional and service was prompt and very friendly! Their dumplings variety is SO FLAVORFUL and served fresh no matter what! Their soup dumplings and regular dumplings are def worth it! The serving sizes are enough to satiate 4 people fully! Though don’t underestimate the other menu items here, because their wontons, chicken fried rice, kung pao chicken, and orange chicken are also VERY DELICIOUS! Pair the chicken fried rice with their house pepper sauce and the combo takes you to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL! Would not recommend the plain noodles, lemonade, and milk tea/boba though.

The food was spot on. The food were all well seasoned and they served it really quick. The meat melts in your mouth and the dough is not saggy at all. Like Less than 5 mins, the food were coming out and the flavour did not disappoint. The only thing I just can comment on is the dough of the dumpling if they could make it a little thinner. Will definitely recommend. Giving their server #2 👍👍

I recently visited Ugly Dumpling and had such a great experience! The dumplings and dim sum were absolutely amazing—everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every bite was truly delicious. I especially want to highlight our waiter, Junior. He was incredibly attentive to every single need and was always there right when we needed him. His service really made the entire experience feel smooth and enjoyable. The rest of the staff were also exceptional—friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. You can tell they truly care about their guests. I absolutely love this place and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious food and outstanding service!
